In the HPI course Corporate Athlete, they open with "Eisenhower was a great journalist" "Eisenhower was in touch with his inner voice and his inner voice's story was in line with his goals"
This is my attempt to listen to my inner voice, understand its story and make sure it aligns with my goals.
Dear Inner Voice Tell Me A Story,
I'll tell you a quick story because I am at work, therefore must be slightly discrete about what I am doing while on the companies time. Then again, time is yours not the companies, how you devote your time is one of your rights, therefore I will spend as much time as I see fit.
Wow, inner voice argument! ALREADY!
There are some fundamental issues that need to be addressed, one of which resonates from a book i read, "Rich Dad Poor Dad" Your time is limited, so what you trade your time for should be something that you believe is worth your limited resource. I do not have forever on this planet and therefore must be very cautions how I spend my time. I have learned that this is a dangerous approach to life, the ego can really get in the way, attitudes of "too good" and "not worth my time" are very dangerous. What I would consider the cancer of time. No one is too good, the idea actually makes me laugh, because it becomes a strictly monetary and shallow approach to time and time management. WOA... back up a step, "time is money!" Touche, Time is money, so Time must be described in two different forms, and this is where the fundamental decision is made for EVERY person. Is my time money or is my time valuable? Your time if it is money is determined by how much you can make and how efficient you can be with your time. If your time is valuable, then there is nothing your would rather being doing but what you are doing at the current moment. So if time is managed PERFECTLY, your valuable time is spent only doing what you please and your money time is spent efficiently so that you add value to your time you are not working.
Ramble Ramble Ramble, come on lets simply this thing. OK here is my attempt, Time is any one persons most valuable asset. Therefore you must value your time and quantify what you value.
Rhetoric I say! What I am trying to say is live life as though every day is your last, value the time you have on earth, do what you want to do when you want to do it realizing there is always tomorrow!
